About Major Dhyan Chand
Major Dhyan Chand was known as “The Wizard” and had scored more than 1000 goals during his international career. He won three Olympic gold medals in the field of hockey in 1928 (Amsterdam), 1932 (Los Angeles) and 1936 (Berlin).
He has represented India in more than 185 matches and has scored more than 400 goals. In 1956, he was conferred with Padma Bhushan (the third highest civilian award).
